Accessibility
Last updated: 20 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, large text, or an older phone on a slow connection. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How the site is built
- Text and buttons meet WCAG colour-contrast levels, and body text is 17–18 px.
- Pages work with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Buttons and links are at least 48 px tall so they are easy to tap.
- Pages have one main heading and headings in order; photos of doctors have text descriptions.
- Forms have visible labels and clear error messages that are announced to screen readers.
- Nothing moves or plays on its own, and animation is reduced if your device asks for it.
- Pages reflow on small screens and when text is enlarged, without sideways scrolling.
- Key pages are available in Hindi as well as English. The "English | हिन्दी" switch at the top of the page takes you to the same page in the other language.
- Phone, WhatsApp and emergency contacts are on every page, so help never depends on using the website.
Known limitations
- Some older treatment pages are still being rewritten and are in English only; the language switch does not appear on them.
- The website has not yet been fully tested with screen readers, at 200% zoom, or with patients who use assistive technology. We plan to.
